Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, microbiology, Hydrology/Hydrogeology, or engineering, along with at least five years of experience in a related field. Advanced knowledge of hydrology and plant hygiene and sanitation is preferred, and extensive knowledge of regulatory standards, including IBWA and FDA, is required. A Master’s degree in water resource engineering or hydrology or a related field is preferred, as well as HACCP and SQF practitioner certification.

Responsibilities

The Manager Water Systems will drive performance improvement efforts across the department, focusing on output, cost, safety, environment, and people, and will lead and support the Manager Quality Systems in area performance and management processes. They will manage all water systems activities within the area, prioritizing both efficiency and effectiveness, and will develop a high-performing team capable of sustaining operational excellence initiatives. The role involves supporting organizational quality and environmental initiatives, executing administrative tasks, ensuring sanitation activities are performed on time, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet food grade standards. Additionally, the Manager will handle administrative tasks for the sanitation supervisor, manage hygiene and sanitation activities of the plant, support Lab Manager in strategic projects, and ensure compliance with USDA/FDA/CA regulations.
