Requirements

Candidates must have over 5 years of experience as a sales engineering manager and over 5 years of experience as a sales engineer. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak to both technical and business audiences, are required. A strong understanding of the Identity Security market, including solutions, market dynamics, and best practices, is essential. Familiarity with the Federal Marketplace and its security and regulatory drivers is also necessary. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent global experience is preferred. The candidate must be located in the Washington D.C. area.

Responsibilities

The Solution Engineering Manager will hire, coach, and lead a high-performing Solution Engineering team to achieve assigned goals. They will manage individual and team performance, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills to influence customer thinking. This role involves improving the SailPoint sales methodology and processes, including developing tailored product presentations and demonstrations. The manager will assess training needs and implement programs to enhance the sales engineering team's skills. They will collaborate with Regional Sales Directors on account planning and strategy, and provide feedback to corporate functions like product management and marketing. Managing relationships with product teams and decision-makers, both internally and externally, is also a key responsibility.
