Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 4 years of project management experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience facilitating Agile teams on IT projects
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence)
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience working, supporting or partnering with internal business clients
  • Preferred: 5+ years of project management experience
  • Preferred: PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • Outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project/program efforts
  • Proven track record of excellent project management, thriving in gray space and quickly putting structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
  • Confident, respectful, and articulate when registering dissenting opinions with colleagues and senior management

Responsibilities

  • Lead moderate to large sized teams on high-priority initiatives and work streams that span across Business Cards and Payments and Capital One
  • Design, develop, and manage project plans and delivery roadmaps in a complex dynamic environment
  • Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical recommendations in support of project delivery
  • Drive solutions to complex problems across cross-functional teams by applying sound business judgment to navigate trade-offs between competing priorities
  • Manage a large set of stakeholders
  • Effectively manage scope, schedule, resources and budget
  • Communicate status, impediments, and risks/issues across all levels of the program
  • Deliver results and influence business outcomes across all levels of the organization
  • Influence and manage stakeholders/Intent owners across COF ranging from VP+ to associate
