Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or development
5+ years focused on cloud-based application stacks
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, with a track record of managing teams, driving project execution, balancing resources, and fostering team growth
Strong proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++)
Demonstrated experience integrating diverse test frameworks into cohesive, scalable system testing solutions
Strong quality assurance mindset and commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

Lead the technical strategy for quality and testing of Zoox’s Product Software Cloud services
Define a clear vision for the team, set measurable goals, and develop a roadmap with success metrics
Drive data-informed approaches to system testing by identifying gaps in current automation frameworks and proposing scalable, automated testing solutions
Manage and mentor a team of highly skilled Software Development Engineers in Test and Quality Assurance Engineers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software in a fast-paced, two-week sprint cycle
Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners—including the broader Quality Assurance organization, Technical Program Managers, and our Program Management Office—to ensure alignment and support Zoox’s end-to-end product vision
