  • Strong background in Last Mile, Supply Chain, and Analytics
  • Proven ability to translate data insights into actionable Product and operational improvements
  • Passion for driving innovation and optimizing last mile operations
  • Ability to utilize analytics to deep dive into delivery data and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Experience designing and implementing efficient features in a Trip Planning system, considering factors such as delivery windows, traffic patterns, vehicle capacity, and driver availability
  • Ability to conduct regular analysis of routing performance across the Last Mile business for all vehicle types and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in last-mile logistics and routing
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, product, and operations teams
  • Ability to assume end-to-end ownership and autonomously lead cross-functional partners in executing strategic, high-visibility projects
  • Ability to thrive while balancing multiple workstreams and priorities under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to support Walmart’s Last Mile Trip planning and execution
  • Develop and implement trip planning configurations and operating plans to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance driver and customer experience
  • Optimize planning inputs, leveraging real-time data, and implement innovative solutions for timely and cost-effective deliveries
  • Partner closely with Last Mile Delivery business, Product, and Technology teams
  • Improve the Last Mile Trip Planning process, cost, and customer/driver experience metrics through improved trip planning
  • Deep-dive and optimize batching constraint inputs (timing, vehicle and carrier, order and batch type grouping)
  • Prioritize, influence, and deploy improvements in technology for Last Mile Trip Planning
  • Think and execute strategically about the future of automation to incorporate Walmart strategic programs at lowest cost and best experience
