Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing, Facilities & Engineering, and Quality Control operations
  • GMP knowledge through Gilead’s Quality systems, validation strategy, SDLC approach, and testing methodology
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with functional stakeholders
  • Experience as a senior technical resource in assessing MES system requests, providing technical feedback and effort estimates
  • Knowledge of MES system (PAS-X), SAP integration, and related systems
  • Ability to work on-call or different schedules, including 24/7 manufacturing support
  • Onsite availability at La Verne, California Manufacturing site
  • Compliance knowledge with industry standards, GxP, GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and apply business knowledge in Manufacturing, Facilities & Engineering, and Quality Control
  • Enhance GMP knowledge and participate in quality systems, validation, SDLC, and testing
  • Establish and maintain relationships with functional stakeholders to support operations
  • Assess MES system requests as a senior technical resource, provide feedback and effort estimates
  • Collaborate with IT, production, and engineering teams to implement MES solutions
  • Mentor junior team members on business acumen, process knowledge, and compliance
  • Manage and maintain MES system (PAS-X) for optimal performance and availability
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads to optimize system support and user experience
  • Diagnose and resolve MES and SAP integration issues; act as SAP point of contact
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and maintain documentation
  • Ensure MES compliance with standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide on-site and on-call support during manufacturing activities
  • Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Participate in validation activities and maintain audit trails for inspections
  • Support MES workshops, design phases, and change management
  • Assess and implement AI, ML, and automation opportunities
  • Collaborate with system analysts to define, analyze, and estimate technical requirements
  • Analyze customer data specifications
