Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s degree, or a PhD with 3 years of experience, and 7+ years of datacenter management and/or technical program manager experience. They should have 2+ years of experience working with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, and others), and an intermediate understanding of AC/DC power calculations. Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems, exceptional attention to detail, and willingness to travel for inspections are also required.
As a Hardware Sustaining Engineering Manager, the individual will manage the sustainability of server, storage, and full-rack hardware standards, manage the process for maintaining documentation, design and implement changes to non-capacity components, maintain relationships with suppliers, ensure continuity of supply, evaluate new technologies, design operational configurations, collaborate with engineering teams, manage daily work assignments, lead a team of engineers, and provide career development leadership. They will also work directly with hardware manufacturers and address tactical issues related to hardware rollouts.
