Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or relevant field
  • 5+ years overall work experience in a relevant field including, but not limited to: project/program management, executive compensation or broad-based compensation
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities and project timelines, anticipate needs and determine next steps
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work through teams and interact at all organizational levels including key stakeholders and senior management
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational and time management, problem-solving, influencing, communication, and analytical skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience administering deferred compensation plans
  • Master’s degree (or MBA) in HR, Project Management, or relevant field
  • 3+ years Executive Compensation experience preferred
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
  • Experience administering compensation plans and market pricing/benchmarking
  • Experience with large, global organization
  • In-depth knowledge of rewards theory, trends, best practices, laws/regulations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, analysis and execution of executive compensation programs in order to support the Company’s objectives to attract, retain and reward Abbott’s senior most leaders
  • Responsible for the development of all materials for the Compensation Committee meetings
  • Perform internal/external data analysis, interpret findings, develop and present proposals/recommendations to senior leadership
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of executive compensation and pay components by benchmarking against industry and proxy peers and present findings in a concise and constructive manner
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on a variety of topics including but not limited to: grantor trust administration, officer appointments and retirements, proxy advisor modeling, officer goal setting/scoring and more
  • Manage the administration of Abbott’s non-qualified deferred compensation plans
