Proven experience leading data engineering teams in a fast-paced, petabyte-scale environment is required. Candidates must have experience creating services with high availability, data durability, and performance, as well as expertise in building machine learning platforms, real-time analytics, and graph systems. Strong technical skills in data architecture, ETL processes, database management, and cloud technologies are essential. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels, along with strong leadership abilities and a track record of building high-performing teams, are also necessary. Proficiency with technologies such as Python, JVM languages, Spark, Ray, Airflow, Flink, Spark Streaming, Cassandra, Postgres, Iceburg, Apache Pinot, and Apache Druid is expected.
The Data Engineering Manager will lead the data strategy and operations, overseeing the design, implementation, and evolution of CrowdStrike’s data ecosystem. Responsibilities include collaborating with data scientists to scale AI solutions, maintaining a collaborative team culture, providing guidance and mentorship, and crafting a comprehensive data strategy roadmap. The role involves prioritizing data initiatives, engaging stakeholders, staying updated on industry trends, and evaluating new technologies. Additionally, the manager will oversee the design and management of scalable data systems, integrate new data sources, monitor system performance and reliability, drive continuous improvement, implement data governance best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
