Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience with Risk Adjustment HCC coding or abstraction, along with 3+ years of ICD-10 coding and chart review auditing. They should have proven experience in managing and mentoring high-performing teams, and experience in ambulatory/outpatient settings, ideally with Nephrology specialty practices. Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, are required, as well as attention to detail, self-motivation, and comfort with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

As the Clinical Documentation Support (CDS) Manager, responsibilities include developing and implementing CDS strategies to improve documentation accuracy and support organizational goals, establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the CDS program, communicating CDS performance metrics and success stories market wide, leading a team of local CDS specialists embedded within care teams, conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback, collaborating with the Data & Analytics team to develop dashboards and reports, overseeing the implementation and utilization of CDS-specific software, coordinating pre- and post-encounter support, tracking and reporting on accuracy metrics and financial impact, addressing recurring challenges, and staying updated on coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
