Requirements

Able to work independently with little supervision
Experience with energy management, conservation, and sustainability projects
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including forklift equipment
Expertise in system controls to enhance equipment reliability and performance
Ability to review current PMs, verify parts in stock, and complete PMs on time
Proficiency in building and rebuilding machine assemblies
Ability to communicate equipment issues and work status per plant’s Stop and Fix guidelines
Proficiency in using Proteus CMMS system to initiate work orders and track downtime
Ability to monitor manufacturing lines, communicate with manufacturing to reduce downtime, and note problems/breakdowns/alarms
Willingness to provide emergency service, including overtime, weekends, and facility shutdowns; out-of-town travel may be required
Proactive in safe work practices, leading by example, pointing out unsafe conditions, and supporting C2S initiative
Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and pursuing additional training
Availability for weekend shift: Friday - Sunday 5:00am - 5:30pm

Responsibilities

Provide high level of maintenance support for all equipment in the Memphis Global Logistics Center, including all facility areas
Complete preventive maintenance (PM) on time and support Sr. Field Service Technicians and Lead Maintenance Technicians with scheduling and PM completion
Constantly monitor equipment to spot and solve issues before they affect distribution
Drive innovation and continuous improvement, working closely with facility operations, engineering, and quality groups to resolve issues
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including forklift equipment
Review current PMs, verify parts stock, and complete PMs on time
Build and rebuild machine assemblies
Communicate equipment issues and work status to supervision, manufacturing, and management per Stop and Fix guidelines
Initiate work orders using Proteus CMMS system
Perform PM work and assign work related to facility operations to maintain equipment reliability and efficiency; ensure proper documentation
Note problems, breakdowns, or alarms in Proteus or downtime tracking; initiate work orders and additional documentation
Review equipment trends, support efforts to eliminate recurring problems
Monitor assigned manufacturing lines and communicate with manufacturing to reduce downtime
Share knowledge and train less experienced technicians
