Requirements

Able to work independently with little supervision
Experience with energy management, conservation, and sustainability projects
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including forklift equipment
Expertise in system controls to enhance equipment reliability and performance
Proficiency in using Proteus CMMS system for work orders and documentation
Ability to monitor manufacturing lines, communicate with manufacturing to reduce downtime, and drive innovation/continuous improvement
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, emergency basis, and occasional out-of-town travel
Proactive in safe work practices, leading by example, and supporting C2S initiative
Capability to share knowledge and train less experienced technicians

Responsibilities

Provide high level of maintenance support for all equipment in the Memphis Global Logistics Center, including all facility areas
Complete preventive maintenance (PM) on time, review current PMs, verify parts in stock, and support Sr. Field Service Technicians and Lead Maintenance Technicians with scheduling
Constantly monitor equipment to spot and solve issues before they affect distribution
Build and rebuild machine assemblies
Communicate equipment issues and work status to supervision, manufacturing, and management per plant’s Stop and Fix guidelines
Initiate work orders using Proteus CMMS for facility operations to maintain equipment reliability and efficiency
Note problems, breakdowns, or alarms in Proteus or downtime tracking, initiate work orders, complete documentation, review trends, and support elimination of recurring problems
Perform PM work and assign related work for facility operations
Take a proactive role in safe work practices, point out unsafe conditions, and lead by example
Pursue additional training to improve knowledge and skill set
