Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Industrial experience
  • Prior experience with supervising a staff is preferred
  • Advanced understanding of air separation and associated technologies
  • Understanding of electrical principles in practical situations involving the operation and repair of complex electrical devices
  • Basic skills in mechanical systems maintenance
  • Fundamental understanding of all applicable regulations, laws, certifications, and standards for a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with modern maintenance programs, asset management systems, and principles
  • Well versed in problem analysis/decision making process and identifying sound solutions
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to write routine technical procedures and policies in English
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

Responsibilities

  • Meet maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems
  • Meet maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
  • Maintain function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts
  • Validate required maintenance of instrumentation, electrical systems, compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment
  • Validate required maintenance of environmental, safety, quality assurance, and FDA compliance systems and programs including spare parts, preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance
  • Validate required monitoring and process evaluation of a site facility including evaluation of current process conditions and implementation of plant loading plans; evaluate and implement continuous improvement opportunities and ideas
  • Evaluate functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements
  • Improve function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations
