Requirements

  • At least 6 months Industrial Maintenance experience
  • Basic computer skills for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation
  • Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Effective communication and basic math skills preferred
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop
  • Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling
  • Frequent overhead work
  • Ability to work in temperatures from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees inside the plant; outside work may also be needed
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements
  • Able and willing to furnish your own tools
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment
  • Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
  • Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment
  • Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals
  • Minimize downtime due to equipment failure
