2+ years of machining experience
Ability to operate and set up conventional machines (lathe and/or mill), Numerical Control (NC) machines and machining centers, and vertical and horizontal mills (floor model)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts
Demonstrated skill level on at least two machines: CNC mill, CNC lathe, NC (figure feed rates), manual mill, broach, drill press, rework lathe/press lathe
Ability to travel up to 30% and work shift schedule when needed
Good interpersonal skills and an inclusive working style

Responsibilities

Setting up and operating special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe and/or mill), and/or numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers
Fabricating metallic and non-metallic parts to high quality machine standards
Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts
Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
Adjusting machine controls as required
Selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines
