Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in machining or related field
  • No less than three (3) years of related experience; five (5) or more years preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic decision making and problem solving skills
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Prioritizing skills, assertiveness, and ability to work on multiple tasks and projects
  • Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to fully operate CNC machines and all manual machining processes

Responsibilities

  • Performs work in a neat and professional manner, maintains work area and assists in maintaining the Plexus Engineering Solutions Lab to 6S standards
  • Supports ongoing efforts to improve the fabrication process to remain competitive; identifies and offers suggestions for process improvement to improve quality and/or reduce cost
  • Provides quality products and services to all internal and external customers
  • Fabricates and assembles components/complete systems based on prints or as directed by engineering
  • Supports CAD/CAM efforts as needed and provides proper feedback to engineering teams
  • Owns equipment maintenance and stock items for the shop
