Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master’s or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, along with 5+ years of experience architecting hardware solutions specifically for Machine Learning, acceleration, and optimization. They should have proven experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and PaddlePaddle, and a strong track record of outreach to ML researchers and application developers. Familiarity with CPUs, GPUs, memory systems, and accelerators, as well as experience with SoC interconnects and NoCs, is also required.

Responsibilities

The Machine Learning System Architect will be responsible for creating differentiated architectural innovations for Baidu’s Kunlun AI SoC roadmap, designing amazing machine learning solutions, developing system-level ML architectures that optimize performance, power, and latency, and collaborating closely with software and SoC engineers. They will also monitor industrial and academic trends in artificial intelligence, evaluate the power, performance, and cost of prospective architectures, build scalable tools for modeling and performance evaluation, and engage with system and application software engineers to ensure optimization of the entire hardware/software stack.
