Requirements

Full, active, and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or District of Columbia
Graduate of a school of Practical or Vocational Nursing approved by the State Agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting
Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record
Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws, and perform Point of Care Testing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Ability to pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol is required
Phlebotomy Certificate or phlebotomy experience preferred (if not experienced, must successfully complete internal phlebotomy training)
Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room preferred

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services
Administer vaccine injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, TB, Depo)
Assess patients during intake
Take vital signs
Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG and Retinopathy screening
Perform Point of Care Testing (including COVID testing)
Perform patient registration and intake
Assist with wait room management and other responsibilities to enhance the patient experience
Order equipment and prepare the clinic for the best patient experience
Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning
Provide education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices
Provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education
