Requirements

  • Valid C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor License (California)
  • Experience with low voltage systems (<50V), including Ethernet-based devices like cameras and network switches
  • Competence in reading and interpreting schematics, one-line diagrams, and network diagrams
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and communications issues in the field
  • Proficiency in standard electrician tasks: conduit work, circuit breaker panel installation, wire pulling and termination
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting directly with clients and internal teams
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces

Responsibilities

  • Planning field installations of residential security systems, including location cameras
  • Creating standard operating procedures for quick, accurate, and efficient field operations when on-site at a client location
  • Leading onsite electrical troubleshooting and ensuring compliance with NEC and California codes
  • Running conduit, pulling and terminating low voltage wiring
  • Serving as a knowledgeable and professional point of contact for the team regarding all electrical installations
  • Accurately documenting installation work, wiring diagrams, and service issues for reporting and future maintenance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and operations) to iterate on design and process improvements
  • Working independently and/or supervising small teams of technicians during installations or repair visits
