Candidates should possess intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel experience, prior collection experience, and prior experience or familiarity with FHA or mortgage loan programs. Spanish speaking is a plus.
As the Loan Counselor, you will provide a high degree of quality customer service while working with borrowers to make timely payments and handle borrower repayment issues, evaluate borrowers for Loss Mitigation assistance, make collection calls in compliance with federal regulations, answer customer inquiries about their mortgage loan, document all communications between borrower and Cascade, update servicing computer system with any insurance, communicate with other departments about loan payments and/or borrower, work with the Collection/ Loss Mitigation Manager and Loan Counselor Team Lead to identify problems and improve recovery, and assist with other duties as necessary.
