High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plus
1+ year Warehouse experience preferred
Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred
Handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources
Ability to do basic math to ensure proper height and counts per pallet and identify or verify pallet ID numbers
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)
Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally
Sit, stand, walk, bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment
Grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis
Endurance for continuous, fast paced work
Able to work in fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit
Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc.)
Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.)
Responsibilities
Accurately select appropriate pallets and/or cross-dock product and verify against pick tickets
Verify all load sheets and turn in complete, legible, accurate load diagrams and pick tickets
Handle and load product onto the trailer to minimize damage
Ensure pallets are wrapped to ensure stability and stacked safely for transport
Ensure each trailer is swept before use
Check condition of pallets and exchange where necessary
Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies
Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areas
Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards
