Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of direct experience or Master’s degree or higher with 2+ years of direct experience in Life Science or related field of study
Direct laboratory working experience with assays involving Compound Screening, Proteomics, Biologics, Molecular Biology, and/or Assay Miniaturization
Advanced programming of laboratory automation workflows
Protocol design, optimization, troubleshooting, workflow adaptation

Responsibilities

Work with scientists to understand their application requirements and help adapt their workflows to the liquid handling and automation product portfolio
Conduct applications support for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences Automation and Liquid Handling products
Assess customer needs around specific applications and workflows pre- and post-sales and provide solutions on how to develop, implement, and automate such workflows
Perform scoping, method development, optimization, and troubleshooting of automation and liquid handling protocols
Actively promote the company’s products and services and serve as the direct contact person for customers on scientific and application-related questions
Provide in-depth applications support across multiple scientific subject areas including drug discovery and genomics
Understand the scope of customer projects and independently build, adapt, implement, and optimize liquid handling and automation protocols to improve customer workflows and provide customer training and support
Support sales targets by partnering with the commercial team to provide high-level scientific and technical expertise
Troubleshoot and diagnose advanced technical problems and serve as a liaison with service and internal customer support teams as needed
Demonstrate leadership through mentoring new and developing FAS team members and/or peer associates in other departments, and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
