Requirements

Candidates who are working as in-house legal counsel in Taiwan SICE/SITEs or with experience on Taiwan funds/regulatory work in a reputable Taiwan law firm would be preferred
Strong English and Chinese language capability is expected
4-7 years’ PQE preferred but negotiable

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the PIMCO SICE on all legal and regulatory matters, including offering of registered and unregistered offshore funds in Taiwan, discretionary investment advisory business, investment consultancy/advisory business
Assist with PIMCO SICE’s contract negotiation, including distribution agreements, investment management agreements and service provider agreements
Assist with matters relating to PIMCO SICE’s functions as a master agent, including new fund registration and fund maintenance/regulatory reporting/notification matters
Advise the PIMCO SICE’s senior management team on regulatory/legal implications of new business initiatives
Assist to ensure the PIMCO SICE’s business activities comply with the applicable rules and regulations in Taiwan
Assist to develop and implement relevant policies and procedures to ensure that the PIMCO SICE complies with the relevant Taiwan rules and regulations, including reporting/notification/prior approval requirements applicable to a SICE and a master agent
Act as the liaison point for interaction with Taiwan regulators and represent PIMCO in industry body participation in Taiwan
