Requirements

  • Minimum a completed Dutch Master's degree (WO)
  • Knowledge of financial services in the Dutch market
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an international environment
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken)
  • Affinity for technology, data, and digitalization

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice to the business on relevant legal topics
  • Draft and review commercial contracts, general terms and conditions, and customer communication
  • Advise management on legal risks associated with their work, products, and services
  • Develop and update policies and associated documents
  • Ensure legal requirements are integrated into the digitalization of products and services
  • Provide advice on risk assessments and monitoring for new products and PARP (Product Approval Review Process)
  • Advise on the handling of complaints and legal procedures
  • Create awareness through training, guidance development, FAQs, and standards/templates
  • Prepare reports and provide insights to the business
  • Support the annual legal and compliance self-risk assessment and reporting to headquarters and regulators
  • Participate in investigations and handling of incidents and requests from regulators (AFM, DNB, AP)
  • Support the development and prioritization of business and Legal & Compliance department strategies
  • Lead and manage various projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders
  • Report directly to the local L&C Director
