Requirements

Experience solving tough interaction problems and thinking through challenges of structuring large, complex applications
Expert understanding of software and hardware constraints
Deep expertise in desktop software design and close collaboration with software engineers, firmware engineers, and product managers
Proactive and effective communication across multiple levels within design and with stakeholders
Previous experience at senior designer level or above within an agency or organization
Appreciation for multiple perspectives and ability to balance them in designs
Excellent verbal/written communication and storytelling skills to articulate design concepts
Understanding of latest development tools, technologies, and processes, including fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
Keen sense of current and future technology developments and how they enhance user design
High comfort level in self-directed culture and navigating ambiguity
Portfolio demonstrating the above skills and experience

Responsibilities

Design complex software features to support innovative hardware products
Work with a design system and guidelines
Apply extensive experience to lead software design, setting objectives, approaches, and methods
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and product managers
Communicate design proposals confidently and effectively
Make strategic recommendations and guide decision-makers through the process
Work within a global team, with flexibility for meetings across time zones
Opportunity for international travel
