Requirements

  • Experience solving tough interaction problems and thinking through challenges of structuring large, complex applications
  • Expert understanding of software and hardware constraints
  • Deep expertise in desktop software design and close collaboration with software engineers, firmware engineers, and product managers
  • Proactive and effective communication across multiple levels within design and with stakeholders
  • Previous experience at senior designer level or above within an agency or organization
  • Appreciation for multiple perspectives and ability to balance them in designs
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and storytelling skills to articulate design concepts
  • Understanding of latest development tools, technologies, and processes, including fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Keen sense of current and future technology developments and how they enhance user design
  • High comfort level in self-directed culture and navigating ambiguity
  • Portfolio demonstrating the above skills and experience

Responsibilities

  • Design complex software features to support innovative hardware products
  • Work with a design system and guidelines
  • Apply extensive experience to lead software design, setting objectives, approaches, and methods
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and product managers
  • Communicate design proposals confidently and effectively
