  • Proven experience in leading merchandising and/or with extensive sales experience, with a strong understanding of the EMEA marketplace
  • A desire to simplify and the ability to translate complex strategies into simple and concrete plans
  • Meaningful experience and thorough understanding of the sport and streetwear industry and culture (product, retail, merchandising, competitors)
  • Ability to work with peers, cross functional partners, and senior management on all aspects of the business within a matrix organizational set-up

Responsibilities

  • Leverage consumer insights and marketplace data to champion the voice of consumers and influence stakeholders
  • Drive the strategic intent of each product franchise within the coordinated marketplace, ensuring segmentation and differentiation within channels and accounts, in partnership with Channel Merchants and Sales representatives
  • Handle a healthy, diverse and profitable product mix, through effective coordination of the assortment, buy and trade decisions, in partnership with planning teams
  • Craft and deliver important product journeys to build long term profitable franchises to help build a balanced and diversified product portfolio
  • Deliver insights and compelling briefs both to Global Merchandising and the Regional Product Engine (GEL) to create hyperlocal products
  • Drive the CODE gates (calendar) and partner with x-functional counterparts to bring the strategy to life from a product and assortment perspective
  • Define and land the strategic product & merchandising plans for EMEA, from future season assortments / Line planning informed by consumer insights and market data to seasonal hand-over to the full Marketplace teams, with a clear assortment vision by channel of distribution
  • Master the CODE (calendar) process and handle a wide and diverse portfolio of stakeholders with effective influencing and strong communication skills
