About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Product Designer who is passionate about creating user-friendly and visually stunning products. Reporting directly to our CEO, Art Agrawal, you will be a key member of our foundational design team. You will have the opportunity to work on all customer-facing aspects of our product and make a significant impact on millions of users. As part of our growing design team (currently 3 designers, with plans to double in size soon), you will collaborate closely with other Designers, Product Managers, and own the design process end-to-end. We are looking for someone who deeply cares about user experience and obsesses over every detail to create beautiful and intuitive products.

Jerry is building the first super app designed to help people optimize all aspects of car ownership, including insurance, buying/selling, registration, loans, safety, repairs, and parking – a market valued at $2 trillion in the U.S. Since launching with insurance in 2019, we have expanded to offer loan refinancing, real-time driving insights, a repair marketplace, car diagnostics, and a GenAI-powered chatbot. We have successfully acquired over 5 million customers, raised $240 million in funding, achieved 60X revenue growth, and grown our team to approximately 200 employees across 7 countries.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of new features.
  • Guide product direction from definition through design, build, test, release, and maintenance.
  • Create concepts and prototypes.
  • Apply expertise in creating user flows, user stories, sketches, wireframes, and specifications.
  • Manage design projects throughout the product lifecycle, including multiple product launches.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all mobile experiences.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on advancements in mobile application design patterns.

Who You Are

  • Energized by sketching concepts, refining flows, and creating designs that represent ambitious ideas.
  • Able to connect the dots between various user groups and industry workflows, translating them into simple design solutions.
  • Continuously refine designs based on user feedback, whether through hands-on user research or by designing options for A/B tests.
  • Capable of building and creating frameworks, facilitating product teams during discovery phases with structured workshops, and brainstorming initial design concepts.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a Visual Designer, UX/Interaction Designer, or similar role.
  • Experience working in a consumer-facing mobile or web app environment.
  • Strong understanding of UX and user-centric design processes.
  • Experience creating compelling screen flows, rapid prototypes, layout patterns, and information architecture.
  • Expertise with Figma.
  • Knowledge of platform-specific patterns such as iOS Human Interface Guidelines or Android Material Guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of high-level layout patterns, UI elements, and navigation patterns.
