Requirements

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to meet required schedule availability and shift flexibility

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the back-end pharmacy technician team in preparing medications for dispensing by the pharmacist team
  • Ensure proper order fulfillment, including packaging and dispensing of medication
  • Review delivery orders and bins for accuracy
  • Coordinate stock rotations
  • Lead and assist Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives
  • Provide regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance
  • Partner with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborate with field training teams as needed
  • Assist in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws
