Requirements

  • 5-8 years’ experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper OS
  • 5-8 years’ experience with IP Networking
  • 5-8 years’ experience with CLI (Command Line Interface) configuration
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or equivalent certifications
  • Office presence minimum of 5 days per week (no relocation or sponsorship)
  • Availability to work third shift - Monday through Friday morning maintenance windows
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Computer Sciences or Operations (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Receive work orders
  • Support changes to the Mobility Network PE (Provider Edge) and CE (Customer Edge) routers and associated devices in MTSOs and Data Centers
  • Perform daytime planning and scheduling
  • Execute changes to Cisco and Juniper devices in maintenance windows during night and daytime using CLI
  • Upgrade OS/IOS of routers
  • Migrate traffic from one infrastructure to another/one router to another
  • Use automation tools (Python, Ansible, GUI-based applications) for pre-checks, post-checks, and execution if available
  • Coordinate with other organizations/teams: Service Assurance, Engineering, Advanced Network Technology Support (ANTS), and IPTRC (NOC/NRC)
  • Perform Moves, Adds, Changes, and Disconnects to the Mobility network
  • Perform Programming and Scripting to support automation efforts
  • Perform automation functions through scripting and programming to bring efficiency to support and monitoring functions
  • Perform data analysis on platform and/or organizational metrics using industry standard analytics and data presentation tools
  • Ensure overall reliability and operations of AT&T's Optical, IP Core, Mobility, and other advanced communication technologies
  • Perform fault and lifecycle management to deliver platform technical support on a 24x7 basis, including triage, investigation, and remediation of acute and chronic issues across multiple platforms and technology environments
  • Understand End-to-End service to support underlying technologies (VOIP, messaging, 4G LTE, 5G, Wireless, etc.)
