Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in Product design and development of high-volume consumer electronic products, covering both ME and CMF
  • 2+ years experience as a technical leader to define, plan, and monitor technical or NPI projects
  • Self-motivated, passionate, and with a high energy level
  • Always has the end-user experience in mind to drive technical and communication solutions
  • 3D and 2D CAD skills including geometrical tolerance knowledge
  • Good communication in English both oral and written
  • Proven expertise in Plastic parts and Metal parts’ ME structure development: Strength, tolerancing, joining, reliability, Drop test, and vibration
  • Proven experience in CMF development
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainable materials, processes, and technologies
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing parts for a broad range of manufacturing processes: plastic injection molding, compression molding, metal stamping, metal injection molding, die casting, metal extrusion, metal machining, etc
  • In-depth design validation skills including tolerance analysis, statistical analysis, FEA analysis (FEA), risk assessment (FMEA), prototyping, failure analysis, problem-solving (8D)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Mechanical engineering (ME) system innovation, design, and development of C4C Evolutionary-type products
  • Lead the ME technology scouting and development: Identify the internal and external customers’ needs, create a technology roadmap, communicate with stakeholders, get to alignment, and scout and develop the technology
  • Develop the new C4C products as a leader for ME, heavily through feasibility studies, concept design, architecture design, risk analysis, and verification to ensure project goals, costs, and schedules are met and even exceeded
  • Act as a consultant to provide ME engineering expertise in hardware specification, design, and issue investigation
  • Facilitate the communication and collaboration with suppliers, and internal and external customers to refine the C4C product’s ME process, covering product engineering specifications, design, prototyping, and qualification for mass production
  • Collaborate with other functions (PM, Electrical, Optical, Acoustic, and so on) in the C4C team to achieve seamless product design and development
