Requirements

  • Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic experience supported by an NVQ level 3 apprenticeship with relevant workplace experience
  • Working with Alan Bradley PLC including fault diagnosis (advantageous)
  • Experience working with Cochran Steam Boilers and HVAC/Chiller systems
  • Experience of working to planned preventative maintenance critical timelines
  • Understanding of EHS relating to maintenance activities
  • Good understanding of GMP compliance
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Good interpersonal skills for working with multiple departments
  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritise engineering decisions to ensure smooth running of the building and production process, minimising downtime

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of customised production equipment within a cleanroom environment, including reactive breakdowns, critical equipment calibrations, and completing preventative maintenance schedules on time and to plan
  • Maintenance and management of all facility supporting equipment, including Air Handling Units (AHU), Cochran Steam Boilers, and Chiller plant equipment
  • Ensuring preventative maintenance work orders are completed accurately and on time, including collating remedial actions, raising relevant work orders for traceability, and tracking to closure
  • Allocation of spare parts to tasks, adequately covering breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance, liaising with Parts Control Specialist to handle critical spares to minimum/maximum quantity on site
  • Populating all maintenance tasks carried out via the computer maintenance management system (CMMS), such as IBM Maximo
  • Coordinating and handling external contractors attending site, including reviewing training documents and Risk Assessment/Method Statements (RAMS) prior to attendance
