Requirements

Senior Manager or above level with deep technical expertise in Heat Treatment production and inspection
Ability to analyze customer drawings and current state of production at a technical level
Capable of planning Heat Treatment lines or factories from scratch
Able to travel ~25% to DOD and prime facilities
Experience levels from Senior IC to Director encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Oversee drawing reviews, CapEx planning, and automation feedback for Heat Treatment as part of the Factories as a Service team
Serve as Lead Engineer for scoping, designing, planning, and automation feedback for Heat Treatment across all material types and configurations
Review drawings for manufacturability quickly, select right CapEx for part numbers and assemblies, and advise automation team on best practices for Heat Treatment
Gain deep understanding of production and inspection methods for Heat Treatment
Assist in building new factories for existing production scope and contribute to manufacturing processes of new products where Heat Treatment is designed-in
Recruit and lead 1-2 Heat Treatment Manufacturing Engineers
Work with Automation and Factories Leadership teams to design and ship comprehensive Heat Treatment production and inspection lines
Analyze customer drawings and current state of production to design, build, and guide automation of Heat Treatment DFM, Production, and Inspection Lines
Contribute as a key player in factories as a service efforts
Deliver cost/schedule/solutions in partnership with customers and the Federal team
Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing
