Supervise at least 2 FTE Engineers or 1 FTE Engineer and 1 FTE Designer
Responsibilities
Supervise, coach, and develop engineers; approve time and conduct performance reviews
Assign, prioritize, and direct work performed by engineers and staff
Develop, expand, plan, design, maintain, and operate the transmission and distribution system and equipment to meet organizational objectives and provide safe, reliable, competitively priced, and environmentally sound service
Coordinate evaluation of system failures and provide resolutions to support operations on unplanned maintenance
Share accountability with peers in strategy, development, and design of the organization’s Life Cycle Plan
Ensure designs and specifications for system additions, modifications, replacements, electrical permits, and customer notifications are accurate and on time
Develop preliminary engineering designs and details as necessary
Collaborate with other engineers to ensure consistency and teamwork
Provide technical support and direction to operating areas on system priorities, engineering guidelines, and decisions during normal and emergency situations
Conduct root-cause analysis, develop, and implement corrective actions
Evaluate and select technology and equipment for the system
Develop standards and procedures
Manage cost and performance of certain system assets, including reliability analysis, trending of system events, and equipment condition monitoring
Develop, justify, and approve Life Cycle Plan activities over multi-year horizons and ongoing projects
