Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
  • Experience in automation engineering within regulated sector, with hands-on expertise in DCS systems and batch control
  • Good understanding of Emerson DeltaV DCS (or Siemens DCS, Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Honeywell DCS, ABB), including batch configuration, HMI development, and system integration
  • Familiarity with SCADA and MES systems, and experience with third-party device integration of control systems
  • S88 Batch configuration
  • Ability to manage complex projects and help a team come together for a common vision
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to ensure effective cross-team collaboration
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end commissioning, configuration, and testing of automation systems, particularly Emerson DeltaV, to meet client and project goals
  • Help our team with project documentation, including Risk Assessments, Installation Qualification (IQ), and Operational Qualification (OQ) testing protocols
  • Develop, customize, and troubleshoot control systems and integrate third-party devices, both Emerson and non-Emerson (e.g., using Ethernet IP, Profibus)
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, address challenges, and provide technical expertise during troubleshooting phases
  • Guide our junior engineers, sharing best practices for system configuration, code development, and documentation
  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of automation and process control systems in regulated facilities
  • Manage Emerson automation projects at the impact partner level, ensure team members learn new things, and keep clients happy
