Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in product design or relevant design degree, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 5-7 years' experience designing and developing innovative footwear products
  • Previous footwear design experience
  • Passion for footwear design, working in a team, and the future of football’s game and culture
  • Ability to work by sketching, cobbling, and with 3D tools to bring ideas to life
  • Future thinker, curious to seek and solve problems serving athletes
  • Sets the vision for projects and consumers
  • High-level understanding of shoe making and methods of make
  • Ability to create technical drawings of designs to communicate with factories
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
  • 3D design program experience (a plus)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, plastics, and other engineering materials (ideal)
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Ability to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project

Responsibilities

  • Build innovative footwear designs that advance product, performance, and aesthetic for a targeted consumer
  • Follow the execution of product details including construction, form, color, materials, style, fit, and performance
  • Actively seek authoritative recommendations to develop designs with regard to testing, manufacturability, sustainability, and aesthetic finish
  • Collaborate with Global Football Senior Design Director, Engineer, Innovators, and others to serve the Global Football consumer
  • Be flexible to work across other fields of play such as Basketball, Running, or Training
  • Collaborate with design and management teams on innovative footwear concepts from brief Innovation Launch
  • Communicate and present design concepts to various internal and external audiences
  • Encourage community and work with others
