Requirements

  • Degree (e.g., Bachelor's) in Business or related field with minimum 8 years’ relevant retail experience in merchandise buying/business/demand supply planning
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail metrics, buying, forecasting, account management, strong business acumen and ability to interpret data to make recommendations, influence decision making that will deliver profitable and sustainable growth for Nike
  • Competencies: enterprise mindset, thinks strategically, cultivates innovation, fosters effective teamwork, values differences, acts with courage, achieves results and embraces & drives change
  • Strong ability to interpret sell in, sell through and financial data, make recommendations, negotiate and influence decision making that will drive profitable and sustainable growth for Nike, including ability to build and understand Stock and Sales Plan (SSP), Open to Buy (OTB), manage KPIs
  • Strong cross-team collaboration; inspire high levels of engagement, trust and collaboration across a matrix environment with diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Strong influencing skills, ability to connect the dots, champion complex projects both cross functionally and vertically within the organization
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in advanced Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc
  • Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the forecasting and tracking of pre, during and post season performance across retail sales, wholesale sales, margin and inventory metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams and retailers with the objective of maximizing consumer demand and driving profitable and sustainable growth for Nike
  • Develop seasonal stocks and sales plan forecasts, open to buy (OTB) and inventory plans based on Nike strategy, in collaboration with cross functional teams and retailers to maximizing consumer demand. This will form top-down financial business targets and input for bottom-up assortment planning forecast, SKU count framework by sports and franchise, as guidance to retailers buy plans
  • Track and review these seasonal forecasts on bi-weekly or monthly basis to develop actionable recommendations, proactively maximize opportunities, minimize risks across marketplace, drive consumer demand, margin and optimize overall marketplace inventory health
  • Reflect aligned actions from bi-weekly or monthly reviews into monthly forecast share out and submission, with understanding of end-to-end enterprise impact
  • Drive and lead selected projects, assignments and/or deliverables within Business Planning community
