Requirements

  • Minimum 3-4 years of progressive experience in landscape construction, with a strong emphasis on Hardscapes and Masonry installation
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred
  • Proven ability to safely and efficiently operate required landscape construction machinery, including but not limited to excavators, skid steers, and compaction equipment
  • Aptitude for accurately reading and interpreting landscape blueprints, construction details, and job specifications, particularly those pertaining to Hardscapes and Masonry elements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively direct and coordinate crew members to achieve project goals
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in all aspects of landscape construction, with a particular focus on the precision required for Hardscapes and Masonry projects
  • Familiarity with general computer functions and Microsoft Office programs
  • Flexibility to adapt to fluctuating work volumes and schedules as project demands evolve
  • Proficiency in utilizing company production software (e.g., WORKDAY/ASPIRE) for time tracking, project updates, and communication

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise Crew Leaders, providing guidance, support, and ensuring consistent adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures
  • Proactively track detailed job progress, meticulously coordinate the efficient allocation of labor, machinery, and materials
  • Develop and deliver practical, hands-on training to all crew staff on advanced landscape construction techniques, including specialized hard-scaping methods, and the safe and proficient operation of all relevant equipment
  • Oversee the daily activities and performance of multiple landscape construction crews, providing clear direction, monitoring progress against project plans, and ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing and resolving on-site problems, technical challenges, and crew concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Thoroughly review and approve crew time records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Actively participate in snow and ice removal operations as required
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship with all stakeholders
