Requirements

  • Desire to develop IT Operations skills with on-the-job support
  • Experience in client support (internal or external)
  • Active interest in technology
  • Willingness to work in an office-based role
  • (Desirable) Experience with ITIL processes
  • (Desirable) Experience dealing with technology-related issues
  • (Desirable) Familiarity with service management tools such as ServiceNow

Responsibilities

  • Perform monitoring of live services, applications, and infrastructure
  • Handle calls from internal and external clients
  • Log and process incidents according to the Incident Management process, ensuring escalation to the Major Incident Manager for more serious incidents
  • Respond to/action events received according to directions in corresponding knowledge articles, and escalate to the next tier of support where resolution by Operations Centre is not possible
  • Ensure appropriate prioritisation of incidents to allow actions and avoid service level breaches
  • Participate in post-incident reviews following major events/incidents
  • Contribute to the improvement of the Operations Centre and the technical service it delivers
  • Provide L1 and L1.5 support to both internal and external customers
