Requirements

Candidates must possess at least 1 year of experience in networking, Identity Access Management (IAM), Group Policy Object (GPO), O365, and Azure. They should have hands-on experience with IT equipment setup and configuration, familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools, and knowledge of wireless networking standards and security protocols. Proficiency in diagnostic techniques, strong organizational skills, clear documentation abilities, willingness to participate in on-call rotations, and the ability to travel up to 15% to field locations are also required. Preferred qualifications include 1+ year of cybersecurity exposure, proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, MPLS, and other routing/switching protocols, and experience with LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN configurations. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CISSP are preferred, as is experience with Operations Technology network operation and setup, and an understanding of industry-specific standards.

Responsibilities

The Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer will provide technical support across IT and OT environments, assisting with network infrastructure, security, applications, and field systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting data and communication network issues, monitoring network health, supporting firewall administration, and implementing security controls. The role involves performing quarterly patching and firmware upgrades, gathering information for R&D and compliance validation, and assisting with site visits for audits and incident response. Additionally, the engineer will provide end-user support, assist with installing and configuring IT hardware, update network diagrams and system documentation, identify recurring issues, and support inventory tracking and licensing for field devices. The position also requires assisting with monitoring control system performance, configuring field networking devices, and traveling to remote field sites for IT and OT support. Collaboration with the IT Infrastructure Lead and Business System Manager is essential, along with documenting tasks and communicating effectively with stakeholders. The role requires working a Monday-Friday schedule with extended hours and participating in an on-call rotation for 24/7 operations.
