Responsibilities

  • Lead every aspect of Compute Infrastructure, including management and coordination of activities spanning multiple technologies, with primary focus on Servers and Operating Systems
  • Own Compute-related topics as the single point of contact for reactive and proactive discussions, changes, patching, upgrades, impact analysis, and assessment
  • Serve as the designated point of contact for the Technical Escalation Process related to Compute
  • Share 'Best Practices' with technology peers and teams in the Managed Services community, identifying proactive issue prevention opportunities
  • Support and troubleshoot Compute issues in large, complex, and widely distributed environments
  • Manage technical action planning across multiple customers, partner resources, teams, and domain SMEs, leading development of Compute technical action plans
  • Communicate technical action plans and drive communications with internal HPE Technical Teams, Customers, and Partners
  • Provide highly innovative management of complex IT environments and solutions
  • Create opportunities to increase work group competence, identify and communicate training needs to remedy inefficiencies or capacity challenges
  • Train and upskill colleagues on Compute to enhance team flexibility
  • Lead/drive virtual technical teams within HPE/Partner to isolate causes of Compute-related issues
  • Work with support vendor teams, customer account teams, HPE/Partner onshore and offshore teams, Managed Services Manager, Consultants, Customer Business Manager, Escalation Manager, and other stakeholders
  • Negotiate to assemble correct resources for issue resolution
  • Plan and implement best practices for Servers/Compute
  • Create and update documentation for procedures, solutions, and project artifacts
  • Maintain complex solutions involving Storage, backup, Applications, and Databases
