Certified CISA, CIA or other standard auditing certification is required, combined with solid IT audit experience. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Audit, Management Information Systems, or similar can be considered in lieu of formal qualification, but non-certified hires must become certified within 1 year.
Candidates need 5 to 8 years of experience in public accounting and/or industry performing IT audit, systems implementations, or Information Security.
Strong technical skills and working knowledge of SOX IT General Controls, COSO, SOC 1, and SOC 2 are required, along with awareness of ISO 27001, NIST standards, HIPAA, FAIR, and other relevant standards.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, ability to assimilate into teams, effective analytical and critical thinking, strong project management skills, entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, dependable, high energy, commitment to quality client service, and very strong team performance are key.
Ideal candidates have CISA/CIA certification or relevant degree, 5-8 years of IT audit experience, strong technical knowledge in SOX/COSO/SOC, excellent communication and team skills, plus an undergraduate degree in Accounting, CPA, or MBA as preferred qualifications.
