Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience in hemodialysis preferred, but not required (entry-level position)
Strong assessment and clinical skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team

Responsibilities

Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-during-post hemodialysis treatment
Documents patient information accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
Makes adjustments or modifications to the treatment plan as indicated
Notifies Team Leader, Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Physician of any concerns
Assesses, collaborates, and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education
Directs and provides care, in collaboration with other staff, for hemodialysis therapy
Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithms
Initiates or assists with emergency response measures
Serves as a resource for the healthcare team and participates in staff training
Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are performed
Identifies expected needs and schedules laboratory collections as needed
