Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a minimum GPA of 2.8, be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship or via CPT/OPT, currently enrolled full-time in a PhD program or as a rising sophomore/junior/senior undergrad/grad/doctoral student, enrolled full-time in the fall after the internship, able to complete a 10-12 week internship between May and August, and able to relocate if necessary.
Responsibilities include designing, executing, and manufacturing CAR-T cells to evaluate expression and function, performing CAR-T cell phenotyping via multi-color flow cytometry, conducting T-cell functional assays like in vitro cytotoxicity, proliferation, and cytokine measurements, analyzing and presenting data, and showcasing work in a final PPT presentation.
Interns must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship.
Interns have opportunities to participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, social/network building activities, and local community volunteer programs.
Preferred candidates have a PhD degree qualification, proficiency with MS Office Suite, ability to identify issues and seek solutions, ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and demonstrated commitment to inclusion.
