Requirements

Candidates should possess a university degree or college diploma in a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science, or have equivalent work experience. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience building complex web applications is required, along with full-stack proficiency in NodeJS/NestJS/AWS and the TypeScript ecosystem. Experience with PostgreSQL, RESTful API design and implementation, React/TypeScript, and state management tools like Redux is necessary. Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, as is a passion for clean code and continuous learning. Experience with gRPC, MongoDB, Jest, or Mocha, and prior insurance domain knowledge are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Intermediate Software Developer will write clean, maintainable, and scalable code, taking ownership of custom feature development and technical implementation. They will collaborate with stakeholders and the team to design and build scalable systems, suggest, design, implement, test, and monitor features. Responsibilities include evangelizing software architecture, discussing strategy and tradeoffs, developing and maintaining codebase, contributing to knowledge sharing, mentoring junior team members, and developing documentation. The role also involves understanding company goals to help the team deliver on them and attending learning meetings to build software development skills.
