Full Stack Engineer (NYC, Austin or Remote US)

Trunk Tools is tackling the massive $13 trillion+ construction industry by automating construction workflows. We’re an exceptional team of serial entrepreneurs, leveraging experience from companies like SpaceX, Stanford, MIT, Carta, and more. We've successfully built and deployed software in construction for 140k+ users, and have worked on +$2 billion of built-environment projects. We're doubling our team (currently 45 FTE) to deploy several more agents this year, offering an opportunity to transform a multi-trillion-dollar industry.

Requirements

• Experience: 4-6 years of work experience in full-stack development.
• Backend Proficiency: Proficient in Backend development (Node + Express).
• Frontend Proficiency: Experience in Frontend development (React).
• System Architecture: Experience architecting systems.
• Database Knowledge: Comfortable with relational and non-relational databases.
• Product Shipping: Previous experience shipping products to users.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a team.
• Independence: Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Problem-Solving: Solution-oriented and high-level programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Enhance Product Features: Build new features and expand existing functionalities across TrunkText (Construction Document Guide) and TrunkPerform (Incentive Management Tool).
• Scale Our Systems: Iterate on the backend architecture to support the growing needs of thousands of users, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Ensure Reliability: Guarantee that applications are reliable, user-friendly, and free from bugs, providing an exceptional user experience.
• Strategic Participation: Contribute to product strategy discussions, bringing innovative ideas and perspectives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management and design teams to ensure seamless development and deployment.
