Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a closely related field, with a strong record in research methodology
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and executing mixed-method research (qualitative and quantitative) for complex projects, ideally within a technology environment
  • Proven ability to develop and execute learning plans that span the product roadmap, from early-stage ideation through iterative development and post-launch analysis
  • Hands-on experience with a broad range of testing tools, with particular expertise in Maze, and a strong understanding of panel recruitment and managing research logistics
  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent research initiatives effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex research findings and recommendations to diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with software research techniques (unmoderated usability testing, A/B testing, tree testing, card sorting, etc.)
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous research projects (plus)
  • Data analytics experience (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct unmoderated usability studies using tools such as Maze (task creation, participant recruitment, analysis)
  • Lead 1:1 user interviews (script development, moderation, data synthesis)
  • Manage research logistics (internal/external recruitment, screening, scheduling, communication, incentives)
  • Develop and implement learning plans for strategic NPIs along the roadmaps, guiding research efforts from initial ideation through post-launch evaluation
  • Design, lead, and execute mixed-method research studies (qualitative and quantitative) for complex projects from end-to-end
  • Partner with product and design stakeholders to identify critical research questions, translate complex software design hypotheses into robust user testing plans, and drive consensus on research objectives
  • Synthesize complex research findings into clear, compelling, and actionable insights
  • Champion the integration of user feedback and research-driven recommendations directly into the product development process, influencing key decisions
