Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Sales/Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer, or senior level product support, preferably in cyber-security
  • Experience in secure messaging, data security, network security, endpoint, NOC/SOC, or MSP-related cybersecurity desirable
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Fluent Spanish and English language required; additional languages a plus
  • Exposure to at least two of: Enterprise email solutions (Exchange, O365, G-Suite, Lotus Domino or SMTP knowledge), IT security (Vulnerability and Risk Management, Security Operations, Incident Response), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), compliance and data privacy, Cloud security and shadow IT monitoring, Cloud computing Infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
  • Nice to have: Hands-on experience with Directory Services (Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, iDP), Email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), Networking/protocols (DNS, LDAP, HTTP), Security standards/frameworks (ISO, MITRE, NIST), CISSP, CCSP or other certifications
  • Consultative approach to problem solving and/or desire to pivot career towards sales
  • Ability to thrive in the described environment (implied)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute targeted account penetration strategies
  • Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions encompassing the entire Proofpoint portfolio
  • Occasionally assist in professional services deployments and technical training, and present or attend industry seminars and/or trade shows
  • Provide valuable customer insights and real-world experiences to Product Management, Marketing, and Product Development (Engineering) teams
  • Work with Channel team to support and enable Distributors and Resellers
  • Become an expert in Email Security, Advanced Persistent Threats, Attack Protection, Threat Response, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and the threat landscape
  • Serve as trusted advisor and technical liaison to Account Managers, Channel Partners, and customers
  • Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, or threat assessments
  • Occasional travel required
