Expertise in resolving complex issues related to network systems (data, voice, video)
Proficiency with network components including LANs, WANs, WLANs, routers, switches, gateways, firewall systems, multi-function switches, end offices, signaling transfer points, PBX, voice mail, CMS, and network security devices
Ability to plan, configure, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and tune complex network infrastructures
Experience coordinating, controlling, designing, supporting, and operating specialized network components
Leadership and work guidance skills for less experienced personnel
Ability to design appropriate testing routines or scripts, including complex tests
Skills in researching, analyzing, isolating, and resolving network and hardware errors
Ability to evaluate and assess current and future systems
Provide technical support and advice on network design issues

Responsibilities

Resolve complex problems related to the coordination, control, design, support, and operation of specialized network components (data, voice, video) such as LANs, WANs, and voice systems
Plan, configure, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and tune complex network infrastructures including routers, switches, gateways, firewalls, multi-function switches, network security devices, PBX, voice mail, and CMS
Coordinate maintenance of complex network hardware and systems
Study and resolve complex network and hardware issues of importance
Perform research, analysis, error isolation, and resolution
Evaluate and assess current and future systems
Provide complex troubleshooting resolution to less experienced personnel
Design appropriate testing routines or scripts; perform complex tests
Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel
