Requirements

Understands and follows safety policies and procedures; performs all tasks safely and leads by example
Reads and understands mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
Technically skilled to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, improve reliability, and precision install mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping systems
Strong understanding of lubrication principles
Ability to use a computer and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Strong communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong proactive maintenance and reliability thought process
Ability to promote to higher maintenance positions and implement change where needed

Responsibilities

Repairing and maintaining operational equipment and facilities
Overseeing all work to ensure the proper fix is in place
Maintaining adequate inventories of tools, supplies, and parts
Creating, documenting, and performing preventive/predictive maintenance tasks/procedures
Quickly and safely troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing corrective action
Communicating plans to prevent repeat issues and assisting in documenting new procedures
Communicating with operations personnel to identify and resolve abnormal equipment conditions
Participating in proactive maintenance activities such as RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action)
Documenting work in detail for historical data analysis
Maintaining exceptional housekeeping
Identifying and utilizing proper tools; reporting damaged tools
Assisting in identifying opportunities to improve equipment inspection, lubrication, and hard-to-access areas
Understanding overall equipment operation and applying it to maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and reliability
Developing/modifying PMs for operational equipment and facilities
Fabricating and installing various electrical, piping, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment
