Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Public and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure and Middleware Management:
- Deploy and manage private and public cloud infrastructure and services.
- Configure and maintain virtualized environments.
- Monitor resource utilization, capacity planning, and scalability of cloud infrastructure.
- Automate provisioning and orchestration processes for cloud resources.
- Manage user access, permissions, and resource allocation in the cloud environment.
- Ability to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.
- Good understanding of deployment and functioning of analytics tools like Jupyter Notebooks & R studio, Apache analytics eco-system, DBs like Postgres, MongoDB, etc.
- Optimize cost and performance of cloud services through analysis and optimization techniques.
- Implement and enforce security controls and policies to protect cloud environments.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and access management.
Data Center System and Network Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers in data centers, etc.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, connectivity issues, and security breaches.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels across various systems.
- Perform disaster recovery planning and data restoration.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, both remotely and on-site.
- Respond to user inquiries, diagnose, and resolve issues.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related area of study.
- Typically 10-15 years of Cloud System Administration experience.
- Specialization in one or more cloud domain areas (cloud platform, cloud computing, cloud data management, cloud networking and security, cloud automation and integration, cloud application design and modernization).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in designing, integrating, and troubleshooting cloud services hosted on hybrid cloud platforms such as HPE GreenLake, Azure Stack HCI.
- Experience with various public clouds, i.e., Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience in architecting and designing complex, scalable, and secure cloud solutions that meet customer requirements, with a focus on reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as technical leadership for cloud platforms & services, providing expert guidance on diagnosing complex issues.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional cloud support teams in designing, deploying, and operating cloud services, ensuring seamless integration with other IT and business processes.
- Lead initiatives to automate cloud operations through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and other automation tools, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
- Identify and mitigate cloud adoption and operation risks, including data security, compliance, and operational challenges.
